I took this photo when Anton and I were in Washington, DC visiting the World War II Memorial. These gentlemen were on an Honor Flight from South Dakota and they all served in our country in World War II and/or the Korean War. It was very touching listening to them talk about their experiences in the war. Both kids and parents shoke hands with them and thanked them for what they did for us. Many of them lost friends and family during that war.

Memorial Day 2009
A day to remember all the soldiers who have lost their lives making this country what it is today. I am thankful for their service and to their families who have lost the most.
